Born in 1981 in Denver, Colorado Sarah Roberts explores the relationship between art and the human form through the creation of sculpture, photography and video. Roberts received her MFA in Jewelry Design and Metalsmithing from Texas Tech University with a secondary emphasis in digital photography. Her works have been selected for many national exhibitions including; extremities: Exploring the Margins of the Human Body in Houston, Texas; Self-Searching: the Art of Self-Portraiture in Middlebury, Vermont; and Materials: Hard & Soft jurored by internationally recognized artist Marilyn de Silva. Most recently her artwork was selected for publication and exhibition in the 5th Biennial Ashes to Art near San Francisco, California, has exhibited at Equinox Gallery in San Antonio, and transformed several spaces with site-specific installations. She currently lives in San Antonio, is resident artist and co-director of Clamp Light Artist Studios and Gallery, and teaches at the Southwest School of Art, the Art Institute of San Antonio, and Northwest Vista College.
